OMG Joyce! What a way for an evil, unchipped Spike to bond with Buffy - but it's believable as hell.

Really, this was like bitter dark chocolate. LOVED IT.

I loved it too. Very dark, but in the best way possible, and I can believe Spike would want revenge on the Master very easily.

I thought it was great! The experiment was a success as far as I'm concerned. :D (Although sadface that everything worked out sadly. :( I quite like the idea of Spike getting revenge...)

I LOVE THIS. I'm just gonna babble: fabulous explanation for why wishverse!Buffy became as hard and cold as she did; love that Spike appreciated Joyce even in this verse; love that he wiped the blood from her lips afterward; love that her watcher finds them and Spike is jubilant anyway ("naked and proud," such great imagery!- wonder what Buffy was thinking when her watcher was shooting at him...). Favorite lines:

“Fucksake Slayer. Sort yourself out. Be no fun killing you like this. ”
He wants you dead. He just wants to be the one to do it.

He bucks his hips upwards. The world ignites.

It shouldn't end like this. The Master doesn’t deserve it. If you’re going to die, then those should be Spike’s hands wrapped arou-

They’re lying.

Alll you see are blue eyes staring up at you as you die, full of something you would have never acknowledged if you’d lived.

Spike is going to claim what should have been his. The Master will be nothing but ashes.

Um, so basically I love this whole fic and am definitely adding it to memories!

I imagine Buffy being very confused when the crossbolts are firing. Maybe she wanted to kill him as much as he did her. I don't know...
