I enjoyed this - I love the idea of Buffy learning to play passably, and Spike only slowly coming to realise why he plays. Nice Spike voice.

(Though, really, this is what she thinks on the outside, while on the inside she's convinced she just hasn't learnt enough rules to work out what he's trying to do. Because she's both slightly insecure and also certain that Spike's plans rarely make immediate sense because they usually go wrong.)
