The ending exchange, from "railroad spikes" to "Thrilling" is brilliant. Spike's understated replies sound so like him, and you can already feel the tension between them.

Eee! Exciting stuff, and I agree, it's rather nice to see Wishverse Buffy having a chance to be happy even if obviously we disapprove of what's making her happy...

Glad you sorted out the Dru situation too - I suspect Spike may have more trouble in that direction, don't you?

Oh yes. I chose not to resolve the Dru situation because Buffy has to sort out being a vamp first, and subsequent Dru encounters would have to be in a specific drabble. Thank you!
