Good night, starlight.

I'm home, and so exhausted. We drove overnight, which was a real challenge for me. I drove into Bismark, ND at around 5am and got a second wind as I saw the sky begin to lighten. I didn't make it until sunrise, but I exceeded my goal, so I was satisfied. After a switch of drivers and several hours of rather uncomfortable sleep, I woke up in northern Minnesota.

I don't think that it had ever really occurred to me how uninteresting most of Minnesota looks. It just can't compare to the ocean, or to the waterfalls and cliffs of Wyoming. It wasn't terrible, and it was better than Idaho, but I mean, man. Every time I closed my eyes, I expected to open them to high mountains. And what I actually got? Some corn. Some sunflower fields, road construction, grass, a few hills.

Anyway, we got to my house at noon and I immediately decided on having a bath. I was gross. I managed to mostly stay awake long enough to get clean and very pruney, and took a nap. I think that it may have been one of the best naps ever.

So, tonight I'm going to bed early. I have to wake up hatefully early for class, and then I will pick up the cd that I ordered, and get to work on filling my new phone with phone numbers. I always tell myself that I should copy them down in a book somewhere, but I never do. Now I'm pretty well screwed.
