So you know how all romantic comedies end with the couple happy ever after? The film ends with a dramatic kiss, the audience clutching their breasts and sighing, and then the credits roll as a happy song plays along.
But you know what I want to see? I want to see the rest of the movie, the part where the couple actually has to handle a relationship. I doubt a cheery song would be playing along to the credits. Relationships are hard. Relationships are not always a happy song. Sometimes the song is bitter, or angry, or sad, or regretful.
I want to see real life.
