Not much to say really. I guess I've been falling behind on this stuff due to MySpace & Facebook. For those who still read this rambling mess, I've just finished not one, but two books I'd like to recommend...
Life Of Pi by Yann Martel. This was given to me by my grandma for Christmas. At first skim, it seems like something you'd be assigned to read for an English class in HS, or Philosophy class in college. It's actually pretty interesting. It's about a young Indian (Hindu) boy who grows up in a family who owns a zoo. Through observing the behavior of different animals, as well as his own independence and curiosity, he's able to find religion. That religion is tested when he becomes shipwrecked and alone, en route to Winnipeg.
As soon as I finished that, I dug into A Lion's Tale - Around The World In Spandex by Chris Jericho. By far, the best wrestling autobiography since Mick Foley's Have A Nice Day. It's a must-buy for all wrestling fans. Jericho gives a leg-by-leg account of his journey from son of NHL star, Ted Irvine, to mere moments before he steps through the curtain for WWF Raw in 1999. He peppers it with cool, dated references and laugh-out-loud humor. He seemed to be one of the last stars to work his way through International territories, paying his dues from Calgary, Mexico, Japan, Germany, and SMW in Tennessee.
Now, I can tear through my World Class and Seinfeld DVDs Later. :)
