This week I looked at Nickelodeon's website. I have to say I am very suprised to see the way the website has changed from the time I used to look at it. Now, the site looks more "clean" by the fact there is a white background where there are gray and orange links. Also, the "nick" logo has changed, now its more modern and completely orange. At the top there are small links that take you to other parts of the home site, like nicktoons or nick at nite which are part of nickelodeon but targeted at specific audiences. Then, there is another menu that is speciifc to this site which leads to tto the main things that nick has to offer. This links are in capital orange letters so it is a good idea since they stand out right away, and they go with the logo that is located at the right. There is another navigation that is now represented by images of the main tvshows that nick wants to display. This is a great idea if you are a regular nick watcher and you already know what you are looking for, otherwise you can get a little lost. The first thin right below that is an ad for lucky charms, I think t his is very annoying, but I'm sure they probably had to put it there. Then, there is a little slideshow that had some colorful images. The thing I really like about this are the orange buttons at the bottom that show you which slide you are lookin at, but they move in a very original way. Then the site splits up into ames, videos, and explore, each of them with smal thumbnails that show you what is bein played and watched so you can take a look. This site looks like its divided into 6 parts, a six column grid.

What I noticed is at the bottom there is a huge pipeline navigation. I can tell that there a lot of different parts of this site, like nickelodeon has a lot of different websites linked to it, so the main site is more like the top of the umbrella of these other sites that all link back to the first one. Overall, I think this main site is ok for what it's main purpose is: linkin to all the other smaller sites and present general information about the channel to the public. It is already very loaded with content, so if they decided to go with the white background and the light gray text. I like the new logo, but I do think it might look at a bit more adult and serious than before. The top part of the site, is way too loaded with images in my opinion. I think there is too much goin on visually, so I would try to cut it down a bit, although I don't know how that can be possible since they already have tons of smaller navigation sections.
