Step 1, Complete
Just got back from standing in line for my wristband and ticket. We got there a little bit after 5:30am. There was already a substantial line formed, even though they said that they wouldn't be lining up until 6am! So into the line we went. It was chilly and humid, so the knees started to give me a bit of an issue, but it only took 2 hours and 45 minutes to get to the front of the line. I handed over my drivers license and they verified I was of the right age to audition. I got a neon orange wristband with American Idol printed on it. Sybil (My stepmom who will be my visitor) got a lavender one, also with American Idol printed on it. We were also given assigned seating tickets. YAY!!
The group song for LA is "Daydream Believer" by the Monkees. We're also supposed to have our two acapella songs ready to go by Tuesday morning.
On the way back to the hotel, we saw two fawns, running along on the sidewalk. No kidding. Actual deer. On the sidewalk. How zany!
Now it's off to sleep for me. I need a nap badly.
And did I mention, we're not allowed to get our wristbands wet? Such a pain. Thank goodness for saran wrap. Hopefully mine stands up to the challenge.
