I called my Mom this morning in order to get information for my new gaming license for a tribe in California. While we were on the phone, she mentioned that she had something to tell me, but that I couldn't tell my brother that I knew. Ok...
My niece is writing in a new journal, he finds it and reads it. She's apparently talking about her mother and possibly trying Self-Mutilation to overcome her emotions. To give a little bit of background, my neice's mother tried to OD on pills and gave them to my neice as well. She was only 8. Thankfully my neice survived and her mother was sent to prison. Yay for prison for some people.
Anyway, it's now rearing its ugly head. So mom talked to my brother about counseling for both of them and how he could have done things differently to not isolate my niece. :(
I just called and left him a basic message of "How are you two? What's up? Haven't talked in a while..etc". We'll see if I get a response.
