[his words sound a little off-kilter]

They ... they know ...? But ... who would have told them? Who ... how did they ... no ... no! I don't want that ... I don't want them to be able to ...

... huh? S-sensei ...? Asch ...? N-no ... NO!

Perhaps the mind is too fragile a thing, believing it was them ...

For his sake. Seeing the ones who imprisoned him, seeing his fears come to life, worrying that others might know what he has been trying so hard to keep secret ... it would destroy him. Rather than allow that to happen, it is better to let him recover from those fears without the risk of harming himself.

Luke and a lot of people right now, it seems. I'd pay good money for one of these crazy people to inflict good things on us for once. And I've got a lot of loot stashed up.

It's fine that you're protecting him although I think he's stronger than you realize but who's protecting him from you? He's still getting sick because of whatever you do! Don't take this the wrong way, but how the hell do we cure you?

It is not illness. Rather, to communicate with him has always caused him pain, much as it does for his original to speak into his mind. That is an unfortunate side-effect of his creation and the subsequent lack of seals on his fon slots. He is too open, and his creation differs from the norm perhaps just a slight bit too much to offer his mind that proper protection. A tone that he hears which he should not ...

I think I should be writing this down

Then what can be done?

For the time being, sadly, the only course of action is to wait. However, when he can bring himself to trust enough ... certainly, that will change.

Do not fault him his fears. No one wishes to be controlled as they have done to him. I do believe you have, more than you might think. But he fears, because that is part of him, and trust is something that he must give in this. To believe in someone enough that they would not betray him.

I'm not faulting him anything, but that doesn't mean I think it's right.

Not right that he is afraid to trust enough to tell another of that secret? That he fears it so terribly, that he would falter at the possibility ... he knows what must be done, but it is not something that he can be pushed into doing before he is ready. Even then ... to remove the Key ... I regret the lapse in foresight to even consider that it would have merged like this. He deserves its strength, its support, but its structure ... I lament not realizing how near his own it was, how easily it would become a direct part of him. That is why it pains him ...

Not right that he has to go through this at all! Or am I just naive, thinking the world should be fair?

Tch. Then make sure you hold up your end of the deal. When Luke is strong enough to do what's needed, make sure you are as well.
