Good Lord, I was so bored by my own Turkey trip recap that I've neglected it in an extreme ways. May finish it up later but the posts will be mostly worthless. Blah. Damn you, lack of good camera (at the time)!
Got LASIK on 2-14. I now see 20/15 in both eyes and have no glasses except for a cheap pair of plastic ones they gave me. It's well worth the money. The procedure took 6 minutes, total. They offer a Valium to help relax you before the procedure. I refused. Wasn't even the least bit nervous. The lady after me, however, had a panic attack mid-procedure. Girls are so crazy.
The most interesting thing is the procedure was painless. I felt no pain at all, even after the lasering. Sure, it felt like I had an eye lash in my eye but once I woke up from the 6 hour post-op nap, my eyes were fine. Well enough, in fact, for us to go to The Wine Room for a kick ass evening. There are some before/during/after pics of my eyes. Will possibly post them eventually!
Speaking of The Wine Room, Kerri's dad was in town for a week. We hit up all the fun spots: Kennedy Space Center (where a tornado attacked the complex and we were held hostage in the Apollo Rocket Center), Islands of Adventure (where the pyrotechnic Sinbad show had a gas leak and almost killed the entire audience of a few hundred people) and Universal Studios (where I ate Dippin' Dots).
Kerri is driving home tonight with a new dog. Zen has been behaving for the most part. The TPO surgery on his one hip has made him a happy, healthy lookin' dog. He runs and frolics now. Monday signals the arrival of a new addition to our crazy ass dog family -- a female chocolate lab.
Work is okay. Life is okay.
