My creative side takes over

This morning I woke up jittery - the good kind of jittery. It had been over a week since I last put effort into the novel, and the lack of writing seemed to have built up a sort of tension that was just waiting to overflow onto the page. I was excited all the way to Arlington, waiting for the moment when I could set pen to paper once again. When I did...the release was just so satisfying. Before anyone says that sounds like sex, that's exactly what it's like. There. I said it. Even the feeling in my body as I waited on the train was arousing. I can't help but wonder how people sitting there with me would react if they knew I was feeling like I was heading off to indulge in an affair.

I had a solid hour of writing before work, and it was awesome. I finished a whole section, and then began the next to honor my rule of stopping right in the middle of the action. At the rate I've been going lately, it isn't hard to pick up again each day, but it's been a good habit so far.

In other news, I'm embarking on a new writing project tonight, one that I hope will last a good nineteen or twenty years. That's all I can say for now.

And now, it's time for me to revive an old and neglected tradition that delights me years down the road when I look back and see just how far I've come - the story update.

Vashtia: finally giving in to some teenage desires and sneaking out at night to rendevous with similarly hormonal guys. The only trouble here is that she's engaged to his father and hasn't figured it out yet. She thinks she's engaged to his brother, which even I'll admit isn't much better. Oh, the trauma she's in for when the truth comes out.
