Katsucon was this past weekend and I had lots of fun, but Amanda/
luco_millian couldn't make it (stupid airline...plane got delayed, then they put her on a plane to Washington state instead of Washington DC), and I was sad. ;__; So on Sunday, I bought a beach towel w/ 8059 on it as a consolation prize. >__> Pictures of that and other loot are below. The report about what I did at Katsucon will be Part 2~
UNF. Need I say more? It's huge and thick and fluffy and I love it. I'm using it more as a blanket than as a beach towel, but nnngh, staring at it so much.
I also got an 8059 commission from ecthelian @ dA. I requested 8059 in suits and received this:
I really like how they seem to be between 15 and 25 years old in this. =)
Other art I bought:
What was great about this con is that I never bought the art on a first visit to the artist's booth, only on second and third visits if the image stayed with me. I love all of these. :3
Because the towel was so damn expensive, I didn't buy much more from the Merchant's Room, only a couple other little things.
First, 8059 doujin. I was severely disappointed by the lack of 8059 doujin in the Merchant's Room - I only found, what, 3 in all? My theory is that the dealers haven't restocked yet and other 8059 fans cleaned out the doujin before me. XP I bought this doujin because I didn't have the scans already and the cover is badass.
Ah, Gokudera, how I love you in your half-naked glory. The inside isn't too spectacular, but still. Cover = <3
Cute little top hat, imported from Japan, not too expensive.
That's the lanyard I use to hold my house keys. There's so much awesome stuff on it so that I don't forget my keys. ^^ This con, I bought the fabric pastry (it's so soft and squishy) and the little Yama figure. My friend had gotten me the Goku figure a couple months before and I finally got the matching Yama one.
Extra picture: I bought myself a sketchbook a couple weeks ago. I don't draw, but sketchbooks are awesome to write in, so I plan on starting that when I finish with my current writer's notebook. Here's a photo of its cover.
All in all, I'm really happy about how I spent my money during Katsucon. -goes back to homework and being wrapped in my two favorite fictional boys-
