who just got accepted
to cornell.

and, of course, the first thing i did was point in my dad's face and laugh.
la dee da.
for those of you who don't know,
i only applied to cornell because my dad did as a teen, because it was his dream school.
he only applied to uconn and cornell, because he decided that if he didn't get into cornell it didn't matter.
he ended up at uconn.
i mentioned i wanted to apply to cornell, and he said something along the lines of "why would they want you?" and didn't think i would get accepted.
i'm fairly certain i told my interviewer that the reason i wanted to go to cornell was to prove a point to my dad.
of course, he says "they must have lowered their standards."
but fuck that.
