Actually lost for words.
It takes A LOT to surprise me these days, but today I read a report that managed it.
The article itself [which was in a respectable publication] was saying how there's been a rethink and that the plans are no longer to go ahead as originally proposed but to think they were seriously considered at all is just... inconcievable.
But for a while there, it was looking like any money held in a bank account, be it current or savings, that remained untouched for just three years was liable to be considered dormant/forgotten and seized by the government.
