Oh, the weather is absolutely lovely tonight! It's very cool and the wind blows like mad, I just have to open my window and let the wonderful breeze in. Maybe it'll even rain tomorrow! At the very least, I wish it will be overcast. Am I weird for loving a dark, moody weather? (I've been told this plenty times before) I just love cloudy weather! It really makes you wanna walk and take in the humid promise of rain.
Speaking of rain, last Saturday me and my extended family went to Genting Highland. Originally we were psyched about playing at the outdoor theme park; the Space Shot, giant ferris wheel, roller coaster, pendulum ride, et al, but tragically, it was raining, so we had to spend the day inside the mall. Oh sure it has indoor rides but they're all family-oriented sissy rides. Not the screaming type. Furthermore, there were like, a gazilion people inside since they can't go out, and it was jam-packed full of people that I just want to scream. The only thing that made the whole trip worthwhile is ironically, the weather and the cold itself. We had a blast at Snow World, and it was amazing. I had never played in the snow before, and the artificial snow in Snow World is the next best thing. None of us anticipated the cold at all, and when we saw the fogged breath coming out of our mouths we went crazy and threw snow at each other, slide down the mini hill, played in the clubhouse, going down slides and made snow angels. It was brilliant. By the end of the designated time we were absolutely drenched and freezing but it was one of the best experience in my life. A bit of a downside to it is that I underestimated the cold and overestimated my own strength, that 5 minutes into Snow World I have a MASSIVE asthma attack. I can feel myself going blue. Fortunately I had my trusty inhaler so immediately afterwards I jumped back into the fray and pelted my sister and cousins with snow.
Another thing that gives me great joy in the trip is, ironically, the thing that mostly ruined it. We came for the theme park but couldn't play because of the rain. But the rain brings in the most beautiful fog I've ever seen since the whole global warming hits our country. I am not kidding when I said I love overcast weather; although some may be turned off my the fog and the cold, I loved it. It looks so mysterious and enchanting, and I embrace the cold that it brings. Plus, me, my sister and cousin had a fun time cuddling up to each other and wearing layers. It brings back memories from the time when I was small and my family would go to Fraser Hills and Cameron Highland and the weather is freezing. Nowadays, with climate change and devastating pollution, those places are barely cold anymore. So having once more the chance to breath the cold air made me feel happy and nostalgic.
It wasn't fun, but fun at the same time. Oh well, next time I'll wait for the driest season and go to Genting so that I can FINALLY go on the Space Shot XD
Although I think I'm developing a fever. That's what you get for lying in the snow and shocking your system.
