I am a teacher now, and sometimes...er, most of the time, it's hard to summon up the strength to, you know, teach. However, there are some characters that help and motivate me in my teaching. While I respect Gruwell and Braithwaite, these two are my greatest inspirations:

In Season 5 episode 6, Daria had to be the substitute English teacher, and I love how she handles the class. She's snarky and deadpan, but tries her best to get the class to be interested in the subject. In the end, she even admitted that the students were not all that bad.
Although arguably Umeda-sensei is a school doctor, rather than a real teacher, I love his interactions with students anyway ♥ He's grumpy but genuinely caring, and his students respect him anyway (and wary of his tyrannical ways as well).
Sorry kids, I can't do gentle and understanding. Tough love all the way.
