Dark Charm Chapter 11

Apr 16, 2010 23:28

Anyways, I'm back again. I know it's been a while but I've been really tired from like school. So I wrote  all in one shot. This is really long. This chapter is probably a lot more toned down after the last chapter. They go back to their roots of talking with one another. Sorry if it's boring but I thought I should show the balance in the relationship. So difficult. I wasn't sure how to write them as a couple couple. Ah well, yeah I changed perspectives a lot. Again, sorry if this is long and boring. This is turning out to be really long. I didn't edit this so excuse any errors. I never edit. Lol. I hope you enjoy. Please remember this is fictional so the facts about them aren't necessarily true. Enjoy I hope.

Title: Dark Charm
Chapter: 11
Pairings: Kyuwook

“I like your fingers.”

"Really?”

“I like the way they pull on mine.”

Sorry for the small font. Don't know how to change it. I've tried. Never mind I think it's fixed. :D

The snow fell lazily around them, trying to claim Ryeowook’s head. For such a responsible person, the boy hadn’t prepared a hooded jacket even though, they had planned on going out today. Kyuhyun had specifically told him that it would snow and that had riled up Ryeowook inside. The older boy liked being the one to give reminders and orders. So every now and then when a sudden chilly breeze pushed past them, Ryeowook would shiver as it touched his uncovered face. Kyuhyun smiled smugly under his own warmth and protection. At the very least, he brushed away the army of fluff from building on the wet head. Then when people weren’t aware, he kissed the other damp spots, feeling the little fluff surrender and melt on his lips. Ryeowook had brought his hands quickly over his head and looked around him, conscious of any spectators. Then he gave Kyuhyun a quick look of warning before turning away. Kyuhyun’s only thought was that Ryeowook’s head was his and his only.

Ryeowook no longer tried rejecting Kyuhyun’s little gestures of affection. It had taken him a couple of days to get used to this bolder Kyuhyun. So, most of the times, what the snarky boy wanted was what he got. They just had to be careful. While Ryeowook had become more willing, he had also become more mindful of their actions. Upon entering his room, the first thing done was locking the door. Sometimes, he would even turn on the little stereo on his desk to drown out their voices even if it was just talking. Being outdoors had greater restrictions. They normally couldn’t hold hands let alone keep to being a foot within each other. Kyuhyun tried several times by subtly crossing over the line but Ryeowook was very wary and stepped aside. To this, Kyuhyun just sighed and continued trying.

“Stop doing that.” Ryeowook whispered, his breathing catching white when released.

“Doing what?”

“Stuff.”

“What stuff?”

Ryeowook peeked up at him. He stared at Kyuhyun with big annoyed eyes and sulkily drew air into those flushed cheeks.

“What stuff?” Kyuhyun repeated firmly.

“Just unnecessary stuff.” A stream of white was freed in front of the cute face.

“What’s unnecessary?” Kyuhyun exhaled sharply. He was also a bit annoyed. “What stuff?”

“Stop touching me. You know what I mean.”

“No. You’ve never told me to stop.”

“Okay, well I’m telling you now.”

They had stopped walking sometime during in that little arguement. Many sounds, now distinct, filled their strange silence. It calmed them a bit as they looked at each other wordlessly.

“Why?” Kyuhyun finally broke the tranquility.

“It’s weird.”

“Why?”

“I don’t know. I just don’t like it.”

“Oh.” Kyuhyun said disappointed. He looked away from Ryeowook, trying to hide his expression.

“No. I mean I like this...And I like you and all but…” Ryeowook was fumbling for the right words. He didn’t want to hurt Kyuhyun, who was easily hurt. “…I just…don’t feel right when it’s in front of others. Kyuhyun, it’s not you. I like you…a lot. I even love you but I’m still not too comfortable in public.”

“But I don’t have much time with you. Think about it. We have school for like seven hours a day and then we go home. We go back to our own homes.” Kyuhyun reasoned, turning back but then felt a bit embarrassed and looked away again. “I just feel that now since I have that time and chance that I would make use of it. I want to feel that we really are together and just that…”

Ryeowook looked up at his best friend, feeling rather touched by the thought. He slowly smiled and reached out with a mittened hand. He gently held onto the bottom of Kyuhyun’s sleeve. They weren’t exactly holding hands just as the words still weren’t quite enough to totally relieve him of his discomfort. But they had encouraged him to bear with it for a little bit. Plus, he didn’t like that Kyuhyun was feeling insecure because of him.

“I’ll try.” Was all that Ryeowook said as he pulled on the bigger boy. They continued walking.

“Okay.”

They pressed further into the heart of a white wonderland. Despite being cold, it was actually a very nice day. For the past four days, Kyuhyun and Ryeowook had spent most of their time cramped together in Ryeowook’s room. The cramping was due to Kyuhyun’s unexpected interest in coddling on the small bed. The idea of leaving that activity was all Ryeowook’s idea though.

One morning, Ryeowook had wandered to the washroom and stepped onto the scale. He gave quite a frightful little scream when Ryeowook watched a new number appear on the top. He had been quite satisfied with being 130.2 pounds but since Kyuhyun had arrived, they had become lazy, remaining in bed for hours and occasionally rising to indulge in some food. Now he stared down at the 133.6 lbs in disbelief and irritation. So Ryeowook decided it was time to break from that routine.

They were on their way to the movies. It was a good forty minute walk away from Ryeowook’s place. Kyuhyun had laughed at the reason Ryeowook wanted to leave their cozy little haven. To which, Ryeowook yelled at him, the muscles around his stomach tried to tighten a bit. He didn’t like the feeling of new weight on him. Then again, Ryeowook was very self conscious about these things.

“Yah! You’re just lucky that you’re unable to gain weight.” Ryeowook refuted. “Even if you do, it looks good on you.”

“Wook ah, you’re already so skinny. I can barely even tell if you’ve gained weight.” Kyuhyun took the time to clearly look down at his body.

“Stop looking.” Ryeowook complained and covered his bare chest. That was another thing Kyuhyun had brought a start to. They were shirtless for most of the times now.

“Oh. Come on. I like the way you look. You can’t possibly think you’re fat.”

“I just…don’t like the way this feels.”

“Like the way what feels?”

“This extra weight.” Ryeowook poked at his flat stomach.

“There’s nothing extra there.”

“You don’t know that.” He purposely let his stomach protrude a bit. It was a cute little protrusion. Kyuhyun chuckled in delight at the sight.

“Wookie…you’ve barely noticed it until you stepped on a scale today.”

“It feels weird!” His arms now wrapped around his stomach.

“Only after you saw the number.”

“I still feel weird!”

“At what? 2 pounds?”

“It’s 3.4!”

“You keep track?”

“It’s a habit. I just wasn’t always this skinny.” Ryeowook ducked his head down. His arms had relaxed from his body and dropped to his side.

“Wook ah, I think you look absolutely wonderful.”

Kyuhyun took this opportunity to walk over and resume the previous position of Ryeowook’s arms. He slipped his own bare ones around the depressed boy’s narrow waist. Heat burst through their bodies at the full contact of their skin. Ryeowook blushed a bit at the touch but didn’t try to move away or say something. His blood pressure rose even more when he felt Kyuhyun lean against him. A new warmth spreading over his back. There was a difference in their chests. Kyuhyun’s was more muscled and felt embarrassingly nice against his own burning back.

Ryeowook looked into mirror in front of him. He saw the way Kyuhyun was looking back at him. There was tenderness and worry in those dark eyes. Now he felt even worse because he had involved Kyuhyun into his stupid concern about his stupid weight. Ryeowook slowly brought his arms up to slide along Kyuhyun’s. Then he felt the latter’s arms tighten more securely against his waist, making Ryeowook feel nice and small in that hold. They rocked a bit like that, watching each other smile warmly in the mirror.

“You know Ryeowook…” The low voice trailed a bit.

“What?” Ryeowook looked back and up, only seeing Kyuhyun’s nose. Their lips so close that they were practically breathing into each other already.

“Your body is actually quite sexy.”

“Shut up.”

Ryeowook turned away. His face was pink now. He watched through the mirror as Kyuhyun trailed a bunch of kisses down his neck and spilling over his shoulder. Ryeowook shuddered a bit at the touch. He wasn’t used to Kyuhyun kissing anywhere other than his face. With a weakening Ryeowook, Kyuhyun loosed his grip and their arms dropped to Ryeowook’s sides. Kyuhyun lightly held onto the fingers as he returned back the smooth line of the neck. His nose tickling along the skin until it met the soft brush of dark hair.

“There’s no need for a change.”

Kyuhyun then let go of those fingers and began dancing his own up Ryeowook’s stomach. This was definitely not something the boy was accustomed to as a sharp squeal was heard. He pressed lighter against Ryeowook’s skin, allowing the cool air touch after his own warm one. He felt the stomach dip in a bit after that.

“How cute.” Kyuhyun chuckled, his hot breath running over Ryeowook’s skin. Then he added in a husky voice that reciprocated his statement. “And sexy.”

“Shut up. I’m fatter now.”

“Still sexy.” Then Kyuhyun stopped moving his hands and rested them firmly along the smaller boy’s hips. Kyuhyun looked at him seriously through the mirror. “It doesn’t really matter what you look like. You are sexy. It doesn’t change because of a few pounds.”

“Then why’d you stop.” Ryeowook regretted asking a bit right after he did.

“Because…” A naughty smirk was playing on that handsome face. “...As much as I hate it, if we don’t stop now, we may not be able to follow up on our plans.”

And so, Kyuhyun quickly kissed the side of Ryeowook’s hair and sauntered away to pick up a clean shirt from the ground. That was also something new. His room was messier with a big and new addition to it. Ryeowook secretly watched him through the mirror as he saw the way the muscles in Kyuhyun’s back were defined and stretched while putting on the shirt. Ryeowook liked that. Kyuhyun, for a second, got his head caught in the shirt and struggled to slip it over his trapped head. Ryeowook liked that more.

Soon enough, they got dressed and ate breakfast and went outside.

They were now nearing the theater as little crowds of people could be seen outside of it. They were rather dispersed, creating many different colours along the white background. Many disappeared when a car approached and stole them away but they were always replaced by new colours. Ryeowook felt Kyuhyun wiggle his wrist a bit but he only tightened his hand on the rough fabric. Kyuhyun looked down at him puzzled but Ryeowook reassured him with a smile. He had said that he would try. However, Ryeowook did step closer to Kyuhyun and because his mittens were the same colour as Kyuhyun’s coat, the disguise was even more affective this way.

“What do you want to see?”

“Hmmm…” Ryeowook’s eyes scanned over the moving names as they swiftly crossed the screen.

“Well I was thinking we could…”

“Ninja Assassin!” Ryeowook cried enthusiastically.

“What?”

“I want to watch that.” Those happy eyes focused on Kyuhyun’s face.

“Why?”

“I just want to.”

“But it’s rather violent. I don’t think you’ll like it.” Kyuhyun looked at the too excited boy with suspicion. Ryeowook was too light hearted for this movie.

“But Rain is in it. He’s cool.”

“Rain is cool.”

“Yes, I like him. He’s cool and handsome and has a nice body.” Ryeowook responded without even giving Kyuhyun a thought. He was too chirpy for Kyuhyun’s liking.

“Yeah but I’m cool.”

“Oh. Sure.”

“I’m handsome.”

“I know that.” Kyuhyun was annoyed that Ryeowook was still looking at the poster of Rain.

“And I surely have a nice body.”

“Sure.”

“What? I catch you looking at me all the time.”

“I do not.” Ryeowook squeaked defensively.

“You so do.”

“Not!” Ryeowook screamed fiercely into Kyuhyun’s face. A few people looked at them. He lowered his voice. “I do not.”

“Do you know why I got my head stuck in that shirt this morning?”

“No. You didn’t do that.” Ryeowook gasped in realization.

“That’s right. I knew you would be watching even if you don’t turn to me. So I did that for your benefits.” Kyuhyun smiled confidently as he caught a guilty Ryeowook. He received several punches in the arm for that.

“Shut up. You’re just jealous.” Ryeowook tried pinning this one on Kyuhyun.

“No. I just thinking that it’s not decent of you to look at other guys while you’ve already committed yourself to one.”

“You’re so jealous that I get to see a shirtless Rain doing pushups.”

“How do you know that?”

“I may have researched a bit ahead of time.”

“Is this why you want to see the movie?” Kyuhyun asked shaking his head and walked forward without Ryeowook. The mittened hand lost grip and fell off. The latter quickly followed into his pace.

“No. Kyuhyun, don’t be upset. I was just joking.” Ryeowook pleaded, having difficulty walking speedily sideways to face Kyuhun. “You know that I like action movies a lot so I wanted to see this but if you’ve got something else in mind, then we’ll watch that.”

Kyuhyun swiftly turned to the side, surprising Ryeowook. He grabbed onto a gloved hand and looked down at the slightly fearful boy, still unwilling to forgive him. His eyebrows were furrowed a bit as his eyes squinted into a little frown.

“Kyuhyun, I like your body best.”

“You bet, you do.”

“It’s the best body I’ve ever seen.”

“That’s right, it is.”

“In real life.”

Kyuhyun growled as Ryeowook tugged on his sleeve and pulled them into the warmth of the theater. He shook off the little bits of snow that had piled onto his head. Kyuhyun brushed off the frozen bits that had still clung onto the cold head. Then they stomped their feat about to rid of the ice that had cluttered on the bottom of their shoes. Finally, they had approached the ticket stand and bought tickets for the next Ninja Assassin playing. There was still a good half an hour before it would start.

Ryeowook’s stomach grumbled a bit and Kyuhyun laughed when he heard it. Ryeowook swatted an arm from him as the laughter continued but when Kyuhyun breaked for some breath. A growl from his own was heard and it had been louder than the previous one. This time Ryeowook shook from laughter as they stumbled over to the food stand. They bought some burgers and soft drinks to fill their hunger aching stomachs. Then the two grabbed a table in a more secluded area of the theater.

“This is going to ruin the little work I did by walking here.” Ryeowook bit remorsefully into the hamburger. He chewed slowly, his face pouting as he did.

“Don’t worry and just eat.” Kyuhyun shoved the burger into his face. He chewed rapidly and then took a sip from his pop.

They finished their burgers and remained sipping on the remnants of their pop. Kyuhyun had tapped his chest a couple of times with his fist. He had dogged down that burger before Ryeowook was on his third bite. He was surprised Kyuhyun hadn’t had a heart attack of some sort by now. Watching a hungry Kyuhyun eat had made him slightly full.

“What shall we do now?” Kyuhyun grabbed the wrapper and it crumpled loudly in his hands.

“How much time?”

“Hmmm…” He swiftly looked at his watch. “…Twenty about.”

“I don’t know. What do you want to do?”

Kyuhyun unzipped his coat and shrugged it off his shoulders. He was looking rather nice in his snuggly fit wool sweater. It accentuated the body and helped Kyuhyun look much more athletic than he ever was. Ryeowook rather liked dark colours on Kyuhyun. It brought out his dark charm.

“Well…we could just talk…”Kyuhyun leaned forward so only his face was in view now.

“Oh okay.” Ryeowook leaned back a little. He did rather like the view of the body though Kyuhyun was very handsome.

“Let’s ask questions about each other. So I ask you things about me that you should know and you ask questions I should know. Then for everytime, one of us can’t answer correctly, that person will gain point. In the end, whoever wins will be able to ask for favours as many as the amount he won by.”

“Okay.”

“You want to start?”

“Are you giving me a handicap?”

“Maybe.” Kyuhyun smiled with meaning.

“Fine.” Ryeowook thought for a little while. “Who’s my favourite singer?”

“Starting easy, aren’t you?” Kyuhyun leaned back against his metal chair. It wasn’t very comfortable. “Female or male?”

“Female.”

“Bada.”

“Too easy?”

“Just a tad.” Kyuhyun then asked his question without hesitation. “Who is my favourite singer?”

“Song Shi Kyung.”

“That’s to return the favour.”

“Whatever. This is about winning right? So it’s okay to ask questions just to win.”

Kyuhyun nodded.

“When was my first kiss?”

“Not with me.”

Ryeowook smiled teasingly. He didn’t show any signs of denial. Kyuhyun felt a wave of jealousy rise in his head. He felt his expression grow a little darker.

“Grade seven?”

“Ahah. No that’s wrong.”

“When?”

“Do we have to reveal answers too?”

“Of course.”

“Fine. It was when…” Ryeowook finger’s were fidgeting on the table. “…I was seven…”

“Wow. That was early.”

“It was an accident.”

“How did it happen?”

“It’s your turn.” Ryeowook diverted. “I’ve got one.”

“Okay. What is one of my top favourite things about you?”

“That’s too hard.”

“It’s within rules.”

“Physically?”

“Sure, why not?”

“My body?”

“Too general.”

“Ugh.” Ryeowook saw Kyuhyun’s eyes travel down his body and he blushed profusely. “Stop that. Is it my eyes? I don’t know.”

“Not really what I was looking for. I mean I do like your eyes but that’s natural if you like someone. I was looking for something that might be a bit more unique. Something that sets you apart from others.”

“Then what is it?”

“I like your fingers.”

“Really?”

“I like the way they pull on mine.” Kyuhyun’s eyes landed on the restless fingers sliding on the table. He had the urge to hold onto them.

“Oh.”

“One for me. It’s even.”

“What is one of my favourite things about you?”

“My body.”

“Too general.”

“The way I pull my shirt over my head and the muscles on my back show.” Kyuhyun smiled, knowing that he had gotten it right. “It’s pretty much anything that involves the muscles on my back.”

“It’s only because we just talked about that.”

“Nah. I already knew that.”

“Whatever. Just go.”

So they played for a little while longer. Kyuhyun had proven to be much better at this game than Ryeowook had thought but then again, Kyuhyun had always succeeded in the games he suggests. The time passed rather quickly and Kyuhyun suggested that they each ask one more question. He was too smug about that. He knew that Ryeowook didn’t have a chance to win. Right now, Ryeowook had accumulated five points and Kyuhyun only had three.

“What is the best day in my life?” Kyuhyun asked, a suggestive smile forming on his lovely face.

“Yah. That’s too hard.”

“So? I just want to win.”

“Fine. Is it that day on the subway?”

“No but that was a very good day.”

“Then when was it?”

“It was when I first realized you lived in the same building as me.” Kyuhyun started leaning forward again. “That day, I just knew that I had go after you. It was the day I thought maybe there was something between us.”

There was a quick pause.

“That’s not fair. I wouldn’t know that.” Ryeowook pouted and whined. He had also subconsciously slid forward in his seat so they were fairly close.

“Doesn’t matter, it’s my win.”

“Do I still have to go then?”

“Yes. Just finish it off. Nicely, if you will.”

“Who’s the person I love the most in this world?” After asking, Ryeowook grabbed the for his neglected pop and sipped on the drink. He gnawed a bit on the straw, waiting for Kyuhyun’s response.

“It’s not me.”

“That’s not an answer.”

“It wouldn’t be me. That’s not like you to ask a question that simple.”

“Just answer the question.” Ryeowook mumbled while chewing on the straw. His eyes travelled up and beyond Kyuhyun’s head. Somehow, they seemed to have lost focus on Kyuhyun’s face. This annoyed him quite a bit.

“Your mother.”

“Henry…”

“What?” Kyuhyun practically shouted and Ryeowook’s went big when they had fallen back on a rather shocked Kyuhyun.

“Ryeowook?” A familiar voice asked.

Kyuhyun’s head turned to see the mochi boy walk towards them. He was with a few other guys he had just seen around school but that didn’t matter much right now. Kyuhyun was a bit upset by the timing of this boy. It had nearly given him a heart attack. He was shocked speechless.

“Hi. Henry, what are you doing here?” Ryeowook helped him out and his eyes shifted back from the happy Henry and the disgruntled Kyuhyun.

“I was going to watch a movie with some friends.”

“Oh. What a coincidence. We’re watching a movie too. Which one?”

Kyuhyun hoped very hard in his head.

“Oh well. I kind of really wanted to see the movie with Rain in it. I thought it looked cool.”

Kyuhyun cursed many times in his head.

“Yeah! You think the movie looks cool too right?” Ryeowook turned back to Kyuhyun, who had a glassy look on his face. “See? I told you. Even Henry agrees with me.”

The two boys beside Henry poked the boy in the ribs and he gave a little squeal before realizing what it had meant.

“Oh. These two are my friends, Donghae and Eunhyuk. We’re all in the dance club.”

“Nice to meet you.” Ryeowook gave them both a nod and then poked Kyuhyun, who nodded quickly before staring back at Ryeowook again.

“Well, we better get going. It starts in a couple of minutes.” Henry smiled down warmly at Ryeowook, breaking the boy’s stare back on Kyuhyun. Henry was making the bare minimum amount of eye contact with Kyuhyun.

Ryeowook got up from his seat and shuffled to an overly happy Henry. However, Kyuhyun had remained firmly planted in his seat. So the smaller boy walked back to Kyuhyun and picked the boy up, practically dragging the heavy body across the floor. Finally after a little while, Kyuhyun decided to walk by himself and shoved off of Ryeowook rather roughly. He jerked his arm away from Ryeowook’s grip and crossed them over his chest. The latter noticed the change in attitude and he tried to smile and appease the sulky boy but he didn’t even receive as much as a look. Ryeowook pouted at how stubborn yet cute Kyuhyun was when he was upset.

He trailed with Kyuhyun behind the talkative trio in front of him. Ryeowook only leaned closer against the grumpy boy and before that boy could move away, he whispered quietly.

“I owe you three.”

Then Ryeowook walked away and hoping to leave Kyuhyun on a lighter note. He did. The latter reluctantly smiled a bit and began thinking of happier things now. He realized he had been a bit selfish because Ryeowook had been worried about him all this time. Kyuhyun’s thoughts quickly ran back to what he could ask for. There were too many things. It excited him too much. He didn’t notice when Ryeowook peeked back over his shoulder and was relieved upon seeing a smile rather than a frown stretc hed over Kyuhyun’s face. Then he turned back to the bizarrely amusing conversation Henry was having with Donghae and Eunhyuk. Nothing was as amusing as Kyuhyun though.

As they entered the dark room, the movie was just about starting and they all rushed to find a good seat. Though it wasn’t the best spot, Kyuhyun saw that Ryeowook was wedged between Henry and himself. He notice Henry leaning over the armrest many times to whisper something to Ryeowook and Kyuhyun looked away. However, the older boy had already predicted that this might happen so subtly he let his fingers creep over the plastic. Kyuhyun felt a comforting tug at his sleeve. He smiled, recognizing the familiar touch. Finally, he turned back to the screen and watched the rest of the movie in ease. He smiled as one last thought crossed his mind before being totally consumed by the plotline.

Just wait for what I want you to do. Just you wait Kim Ryeowook.

Anyways. yeah that must be one of my worser (not a word >.<) chapter but I was really tired and I guess I just wanted to try to write something. I kind of wanted to show them as a new couple that is still a bit shy and awkward. I'm not sure how to do that well. I didn't make much happen here. Just made them talk. Not sure how to write the remaining few chapters. Suggestions? I need a bit of help maybe. Anyways, Henry's back because some people have asked to see his reaction which might be coming soon. Don't know yet. It's difficult for me to write them as a real couple now. Iunno. You can probably tell from this chapter that it's difficult. Gahhhhh.... >.< Okay. So tired now. Going to rest. Hope you enjoy.

P.S. The font is being wierd. I hate that I can't change it bigger. Sorry. I've got something against small font but it's not working when I try to make it bigger. So please bear with me. Anyone know how to fix it?
Never mind, I think I fixed it up. :D
