[Arashi] Shounen Club talk - 07/02/2006
I'm not sure if this has been translated anywhere else, but I translated the MC segment with Arashi in the most recent episode of Shounen Club, in which they were the guests. It's short but cute, and I'm hoping they'll air the rest of the MC talk they had next week, along with their performance of Wish.
On a random note, it's really hard to believe that we have almost 200 people friending this journal ^^; Considering there's only the two of us, and our updates are... sporadic, to say the least, I'm surprised most people haven't deleted us from their flists yet. But thank you! I'm glad you liked our translations enough to friend us, and I hope you'll continue to stick around in the future :)
As a special treat to everyone, I actually went and subbed the talk in addition to translating it, so feel free to download from the links included at the bottom of the post! It's my first time ever trying to sub something, so I hope it was okay ^^;

Koyama: Okay~ the atmosphere after this will be very different from before!
Koki: There'll be a huge difference?
Koyama: A feeling of having made everyone wait a long time.
Koki: Making everyone wait a long time?
Koyama: Today, big-named guests have arrived!
Jrs.: Oh~!
Koyama: They're seriously really big!
Koki: Seriously?
Arashi performs Kitto Daijoubu
Koyama: Let's introduce to everyone once again, tonight's special guest is Arashi!
All: (bows)
Nino: Yay!
Koyama: So uh, how does it feel to perform on this Shounen Club stage?
Jun: It's great, we only performed in a studio back then.
Koyama: You didn't have a Shounen Club back then, right?
Jun: We didn't have a Shounen Club in name--
Sho: Our generation was "Idol On Stage"!
Koyama: Hahaha, Idol On Stage...
Nino: Idol On Stage.
Koyama: This show has a lot of little kids appearing on the program, do they make you think of your Jr. generation when you see them?
Nino: Of course.
Aiba: I used to get yelled at a lot.
Koyama: You did?
Jun: Eh? But Aiba-kun got yelled at today too.
Aiba: (laugh)
Koyama: Just as expected, the one who got yelled at the most as a Jr. was Aiba-kun?
Aiba: (smacks Koyama on the head) Oi!
Sho: Don't be like that!
Koki: Koyama actually used "just as expected"!
Aiba: It's not "just as expected"!
Koyama: The theme this time is "Message", please give the Jrs. and also fans a bit of a message.
Nino: I understand! Then let's ask the person who hasn't spoken a single word up til now, Captain, to do it.
Aiba: Captain!
Jun: He's been thinking! He was thinking about this for a really long time!
Nino: Please give a message to the Jrs.!
Ohno: When you receive work to do, do not slack off!
All: (laugh)
Jun: That only applies to you! That's you!
Koyama: He's slacked off before?
Nino: He slacked off on 80% of his work.
Sho: If I said something like "We have a bit of rehearsal tomorrow" to him, he would say "Nnn~ then it's better if I just come in around 5."
Aiba: That's really bad.
Nino: It's because he used to be like that, that's why these words have more conviction coming from him.
Koyama: Next, please say something to your fans.
Nino: Then, Chiba-ken can do it.
Aiba: (surprised) Me? ......Hey, you...
Koki: (raises hand) I'm also from Chiba!
Sho: Then you guys can go and be friends!
Nino: Yeah! You're both from Chiba!
Aiba: Let's be friends then! (shakes hands) You look a bit scary!
Koki: (surprised) Eh?
Aiba: Scary.
Koki: I'm not scary!
Aiba: How old are you?
Koki: Eh? I'm 21 this year.
Nino: Hurry up and talk to the fans! Why're you so interested in Koki!
Aiba: (laugh) I understand. We haven't sung and danced like this in front of everybody in a very long time now, we feel very happy to be here too. We will be holding concerts this summer... we will be doing many shows, so we hope everyone will be able to come and watch, and... our present society is very chaotic, so everyone please...
Jun: (moves over and starts drawing circles in the air)
Aiba: Ah... circles?
Jun: Fast!
Aiba: Fast? Faster?
Jun: Too long!
Aiba: But everyone-- (quickly) Please be careful when going home tonight, thank you very much!
All: (laugh)
Koki: He actually wrapped it up!
Koyama: Thank you very much to Arashi for coming to our show tonight!
All: (bows)
Aiba: (shakes hands with Koki again)
