Yay! Paint!
So yesterday I bought a chest of drawers at a yardsale. It is a nice piece, but needed a lot of work, so today my dad and I went to work on it. It already looks really good. We took off the side panel and then replaced it. Next I am going to cover the newly replaced sides with a pretty purple fabric, and then paint the entire thing a princess purple (it is from the Disney Paint Collection.) What I may do is a dark purple crackle finish over the light purple drawers, for a nice contrast. It is going to look so cool. I am just really excited about it because it is my (and my dad's) project. It is just a funky cool thing that I can have for my own house. I already painted a shelf with the purple paint (it totally reminds me of Sleeping Beauty.) Next I may stencil gold leaves on it. I am sooooo excited about all of this. So many craft ideas already. Anyone have any ideas also? It would be greatly appreciated.
