(no subject)

So yesterday was my birthday. I decided to not put any hype on it, or really on that note, to even mention when my birthday was. The reason for this was to generally see how many people would wish me a happy birthday without feeling like they had to (like after I said it was my birthday). Shocking for me to see, I got 6 notes on my wall on facebook, and a message from a friend on facebook as well. I also got 7 IM's greeting me with birthday wishes. At school, I got 7 birthday wishes as well... one came with an anklet (that is unfortunately too small for my FAT FAT FATTY ankle) and another with a homemade card. The best part was the wake-up call, being the sole subject of a journal entry, and being called the 'birthday girl.' It's been sooo long since anyone has ever called me the 'birthday girl,' and it made me feel so incredibly special.

Before I go any further, I would like to point out that I don't really care about getting presents. It's the thought that counts. Without even telling anyone or leaving a note anywhere (except for facebook and reminders...) to hear from so many people, makes my heart so warm inside. If you say that you 'wish' that you could have gotten me one, that's wonderful that you wanted to, but there is no need. I have so much, and am blessed to have you in my life. :D

My grandmother gave me my birthday card/present the night before, since she was going to leave before I got up on my b-day to go back to FLA. It was probably one of the best cards I have ever gotten. She also gave me a gold pendant of my initial (V). It was very kind and thoughtful. :D My brother ordered me the third season of KITH (Kids In The Hall, for those of you who have no clue of what I'm talking about), since it just came out on DVD on Tuesday, and my parents got me the first 2 seasons of News Radio. Yes. I'm a fan of David Foley...

It's the little things in life that make it worth living. So instead of fighting, lets just find what we enjoy, and if we don't have it right now, find a way to make it possible. ANYTHING is possible, if you put your mind to it.

Thank you all for your kindness
