My goodness.
It has been a spell, hasn't it?
Let's see, since June, I:
*have made no money
*have not finished a research project
*have moved out of my Amherst apartment
*have gone to Romania for two weeks
I am very broke and very jetlagged now, but I had a great time in Romania. Actually, most of the people in the group were sort of *meh*, but thank god for the British kid, Chris, without whom I might have been inspired to slug people in public and kill babies for sheer spite.
But Romania was truly amazing (except for the people I wanted to murder). It's almost like a different planet. Different terrain, different resources, completely different way of life. I'd love to go back next year. I'm thinking of maybe trying to write a senior thesis about Roman Dacia (which is where I was) and asking my school for money to go back and research on site. :-D
Been on a very independent streak since I got home. Weird way to describe it, but independent's the best I can do. I feel very self sufficient and like I need lots of space and room to breathe, which isn't a good thing when you have a significant other who adores you and missed you and wants to be close. I don't know what the hell is going on. I probably just need to get things straightened out and clear my head.
Blah.
But I'm going to fucking ROME in twenty days!!!!!!!!
