(no subject)
In the past three four [portfolio was Tuesday] days I have written:
5 pages for my harmony portfolio
15 pages of my ethno paper
5 pages for the ethno wiki
17 pages for my proseminar paper

42 pages, aka about what I wrote for my thesis, which took me all semester. Jenna, you know what you said about being the same person? Um...yeah. To quote you: Grad school whaaaaaaaaaaaaat.
I haven't written so much in such a short time, ever. I wrote the most today. 17 pages, plus two of citations. Thankfully, I knew what I was going to write. The reading for the damn paper took me three weeks to finally get done, but once everything was read, it was just a matter of summarizing/extracting necessary material, linking it all together, and adding on the intro and conclusion. The last two ended up being not quite as bad as I thought they would be, happily.
Now I just have to do a crapton of laundry [I haven't done laundry in FOREVER], clean my room [which is just short of being actually disgusting], and pack. Thankfully my flight isn't 'til 11:55, so the taxi doesn't pick me up 'til 10:30. I can get some quality sleep, yay!
Man, this is the longest time I'll be home for winter in years. I don't think I've stayed for a longer winter break than two weeks. And it's winter, so that means coats and boots...argh I'm going to have a big suitcase. I need to take home a bunch of books, too. Maybe I'll take a small suitcase onto the plane, too. Oh and my work shirt, too. As soon as I get home I have to call Steve and try to schedule my drug test. Grrr. I'm tempted to say "I just got back from SCHOOL! I wouldn't be on drugs!" but I realize the naivete of that statement. Sigh.
Okay, time to stop procrastinating. Put in laundry. Clean. Pack.
