Things are going well in land of the Ginger. We finally have a place of our own to stay with an awesome roommate. Things are going very well at the new place. Bruce has gotten another promotion with Comcast and I'm doing some pick up jobs while I am back on the job hunt again (blah!). Any leads would be more than appreciated.
I had a great birthday and September has been full of awesome. We made it out to Chicago for an early 3 year anniversary trip for the Cold Waves: Jamie Duffy Memorial Show. It was a blast and the best anniversary trip I've ever taken, even on a small budget. We got to see the last Chemlab show and be a part of a once in a life time show for cold wave and industrial music. We got to hang out a bit, reconnect and share some pumpkin bread we made with some of the various band members. Bruce and I enjoyed our actual anniversary weekend with a hike at Yellow River Park and Cuddledome: Anniversary Edition! The last 3 years have been a great struggle at times, but I have had the best partner to get through it all with. I have also had some amazing times too and got to share them with the best partner in crime ever. I have grown so much over the last three years, especially this last year, personally and in a partnership. I am thankful to have had all the support, respect, loyalty, and friendship one could ask of a partner. These have been the best three years of my life despite any hardships.
I have officially lost all the weight I gained and am back to the weight I was 2.5/3 years ago!! My body is still a bit different, in mostly good ways. My skin is healthier and softer and my waistline is slimming up nicely. I still can't wear some tops because while my boobs lost a cup size or so, they are still bigger than when I was this weight before. Only an issue when I want to wear certain tops or my coin bra for belly dance. Stretch marks are fading and as I tone up, I hope for them to be even less noticeable. It sucks I lost some of the pants, belts and club/dress clothing I was holding onto that I could now fit into. Though, I'm not the same person I was then, so it will be nice to start fresh. Now lets see if I can get back to my college weight before I started drinking regularly 6 years ago! Time to increase my physical activity! My change in diet has suited me quite well and I am very happy as a vegan. It has sparked a whole lot of life changes that I am ecstatic about. Including not drinking like I use to. Having wine now and then. I'm just listening to my body and I feel more myself than ever. More in tune with the world.
After the storage space fire and other events of the past couple years, I have learned about how happiness has very little to do with what you have, and so much to do with state of mind. It's the little things. The smile on your partners face. The clouds in the sky. Sitting in the grass during a sunrise listening to amazing music. Creating something new. Giving joy to others.
Now we are getting ready for Alchemy next weekend. ^_^ I'm enjoying the season change and looking forward to the holidays. Life is Good.
