It apparently is yet another summer of change.

I have a new address... ask me for it. I'm still in Middletown, and my current living situation is a MAJOR upgrade from the last one. I am residing in a house with another 20-something female, and while we don't have too terribly much in common, we're both laid back and we both kind of do our own thing, so it'll work quite well. She owns the house, so I'm not here on a lease or anything, which is nice. It means that should I feel the desire to leave, I won't have to wait out the end of a lease or else risk my security deposit. The only downside is that it's more expensive than the last place, so my financial situation will be slightly tighter. This just means less bars and such on the weekends :-P

Job is fantastic. I had a review this past weekend that made me super nervous, but mostly good things were said. My job is safe, which is always a good feeling.

My best friend has left me and moved to Phoenix. It is sad... I miss her. We were going out for lunch weekly, and now I don't have anyone to do that with *sniff*

Miriam was married on July 1. That was a lovely wedding, and it gave me an excuse to go explore Chicagoland. Let me tell you... I now have yet another city in the running for "favorite city." It was pretty much the most fantastic trip ever. It was also way cool because I was on my own for the most part, so I got to see the things *I* wanted to see instead of waiting around for other people. I'm not knocking taking a vacation with friends, but there's something kind of liberating in being able to do whatever you choose.

My niece is due imminently. Not sure of the exact due date, but she's due in less than a month. SO exciting. I will certainly be posting pictures and her name and birth weight as soon as I know that information. If she's half as cute as her older brother, she'll be cutest newborn on the planet :)

Tonight's plans are kind of fun. I'm going with Dan to see the Hartford Symphony do a Mozart concert on Talcott Mountain in Simsbury. We'll be taking a picnic dinner and enjoying the evening. Should be a good time :)

Yet to look forward to this summer:
August 4: DMB in Hartford
August 18: Counting Crows, Live, and Collective Soul in New Britain
August 24-27: Jersey Shore!!!
August 26: my 26th birthday. You have less than a month, folks. Start getting those big presents in order :-P
