( Proper TARDISes were mannered creatures, bred and raised by a mannered society. They hid their sentience behind the polite fiction of wheezing bellows and push-button consoles. But Meanwhiles weren't proper TARDISes, and they were entirely incapable of conducting themselves as such.)
