Greetings and salutations!

A first time poster and fic writer, so this is very un-betad. I'm looking for critique and suggestions, especially other writers who are willing to go crazy over IM or email with me regarding our favorite bad boy, Harry Saxon.

Title: Dancing

Nrgh. *groans* Not another one. It's well-written, one of the better sexual experiances I've seen lately, but I'm just so sick of Martha/Saxon smut.

Yay! It's nice to know that it's not all horrid! Hee hee. Thanks for commenting, seriously! It's encouraging as a new fic writer.

(Shall I write the Master/Lucy as the Doctor watches torture-fic that has been bouncing in my brain?)

Personally I think that idea should be captured and locked up somewhere, just for a little while. I'm still waiting for someone to get inspired and write a "What the old TARDIS/UNIT crew were doing while all this went down" fic. Especially Jo. I want to see what Jo and Benton and Mike and the Brig and Sarah were up to. Wait, did Sarah ever meet the Master? No I don't think she did. But I'd imagine after the Battle of Canary Wharf the companions would've all come up with some sort of contingency plan in the event of it ever happening again.

I'm rambling and spewing my ideas all over hoping to drag people's minds out of the gutter. Evil does not equal the absolute necessity for smut.

But some of us like to stay down here for our fic. :)

I'd say interesting old UNIT crew fic may come out from The Last of the Time Lords. BlackOps!Martha and what seems to be an underground resistance movement can provide some prime inspiration for such fic.

Unfortunately, in the whole universe of fic writers, there seems to be less of us Old Who&New Who fans than simply New Who fans.

I'm with kesomon - as beautiful and brilliantly written as it was, I'm getting sick and tired of Master/Martha. There seems to be more of it than Master/Doctor, which is a bit disturbing, considering how damn close to being canon that's getting.

Well, I'm pleased that you think that it was beautiful, as this was my first attempt at writing fic for Doctor Who (and my second fic ever). Thank you so much for taking the time out to read my fic and hopefully I can put out something more to others' tastes. I just liked the idea of the Master having a bit of fun with Martha first. Hee hee.

Okay, personally I don't think there's such a thing as too much M/M, so long as other ships aren't being ignored.

And this was teh hot. I really liked the premise that the Master is pseudo-stalking Martha pre-Doctor days. Hee. I mean, we all know he was!

Thank you! Yes, the fic came from the idea that the Master was stalking her pre-Doctor days. You know that he wouldn't be able to help himself, his competitive nature wanting to taste her fruit before the Doctor could.

Plus, the voice in my head of all of Martha's lines with her realization that her past lover is the Master is pretty hot.

Very nice indeed! Thank you for sharing :)

I'm not sure quite why other commenters felt it necessary to tell you they're already bored of the pairing, and I hope it won't put you off writing this ship again. There are plenty of other ways for readers to encourage writers to produce the pairings they prefer, and personally I find it bafflingly rude to intimate that an author shouldn't be exploring a particular ship because they feel others aren't as well catered for. It's been two days since the episode, after all! Plenty of time yet for things to balance in their favour.

I'm very intrigued by this pairing, and eager to see how authors can make it work without it being squicky (which it really can be), and I think you've done beautifully here. Excellent work.

Thank you, especially for the encouragement! I've got some ideas for Lucy, but this particular story jumped out to me because we all know the Master has been watching her and her family for some time. And the Master can't resist getting at her first!

ITA with the anonymous comment above. If people are bored of the pairing, then they shouldn't even bother reading and it seems downright rude for them to be so negative of your choice of pairing. (And I'm not just saying that, because I'm a big fan of Master/Martha!)
