House, Cat, and Stuff
Yet another update:
Airconditioner went in on Saturday. It is now 74 in our house. That is with NO insulation in the walls. The unit and ductwork cost under 2/3 of the original bid too. Saved almost 4 grand and they were fast.
Walls started up today. The front room, great room, and Melissa's sewing room now have internal walls.
Floor is on order. Hard wood for the front room and living room and carpet for the bedrooms.
Second bid on spray insulation is tomorrow.
It's almost a house again. Almost.
Now the sad news. The fellow doing the duct work apparently left a door open as he hauled his stuff out. Doodles is gone. She never showed any signs of wanting out but must have wandered off looking for Ming or got spooked or something. I have been feeding some animal on the back deck. I hope it's her. If not some stray or wild animal is getting a free feed.
Sleep schedule is fubarred. I sleep 2 out of 3 nights. Not well when I do. The time stamp on this message says part of that. Well, enough for now.
