Countdown!
Turns out I'll be leaving for Heartland a day earlier than expected, which means more food needed for Caesar and Lucky. Yesterday I made a new batch of chien cuisine, and packaged and froze it in single meal portions. The rest of this week I'll be focused on getting ready for the trip. I have a schedule now, although I'm sure everything won't go smoothly as planned. It never does.
Today. Make sure Tia can do my hair on Frigesdæg (or, if not, find out when this can happen). Organize presentation notes.
Tomorrow. Pack clothing, ritual garb and equipment. Make a list of items still need to purchase. Take Caesar to obedience class.
Thunresdæg. Store run. Pick up everything listed the day before, as well as extra sodas, snacks, anything needed for weekend húsel and (for Caesar) a bag of ginger snaps. "Frontline" both Caesar and Lucky.
Frigesdæg. Get hair cut and re-blonded. Organize CDs. (Man, that ipod was a waste of money.)
Sæterndæg. Earendel's monthly húsel, this month honoring our goddess Herthe.
Sunnendæg. Pack Álwægn with everything but perishables. (I think Caesar's chien cuisine is the only real perishable item.)
Monnandæg. Take Caesar to the groomer. Pack chien cuisine and (if applicable) any other perishables. Double check packing. Pick Caesar up from the groomer and hit the highway.
Yes, in six more days I'll be westward bound.
