Theme: Introduction
Hi. I am Tina. You wanna fool around?
I am not very good at first impressions. I am likely to say something completely inappropriate or be holding a toddler covered in fecal matter. Once I met a Jewish girl who was talking about this camping trip her Synogogue was going on. I asked if they "think really hard" when they go to this camp. Apparently Jews really hate Holocaust jokes. I guess I should have realized that. But much like anyone who thinks they are much funnier than they are, I couldn't resist.
Aside from being inappropriate and rather brassy, I am... Okay, well, that's about it for personality. I can sometimes make up for it with obscure talents. I can tread water with a ten pound brick over my head for 21 minutes. I think that's my only weird talent. My not-so-weird and not-so-talented-at hobbies include playing the saxophone, acting in community theatre, and baking the best damned cupcakes you will EVER eat. I can also recite "The Goonies" beginning to end with disturbingly accurate impressions of Sloth. But, that's less of a talent and more of a liability if you ask my family.
My life is chaotic at best. I am a 25 year old wife and mother of toddler twin boys. Did you know that Arm and Hammer deodorant is a good source of zinc? I found that our when calling poison control after one of my twins ate half a stick. That pretty much sums up the activity level of my children. I also have two cats who hate each other and a husband with Asperger's Syndrome. My life is written like a soon-to-be-canceled sitcom 90% of the time.
My whole brood lives in the great white north of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Yes, the OTHER part of Michigan. The one that doesn't look like a mitten. The one no one talks about and most cheap maps just leave off completely. (I do love seeing those maps. The ones that think Wisconsin has a north shore of glorious Lake Superior waterfront. They should be so lucky!) It's cold, it's rural, and it's a little backwards. But, after a brief stint in Las Vegas, I realize that I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
So, that's me in a nutshell. Or a nuthouse. Take your pick. :)
