Joy of joys: a livejournal update!
Man, it has been a long time since I've updated. I'm bored now though, thus inspired. I'm at my second job, working at a shelter. I love it. I get to sit, and go online, and talk to people. And, it pays considerably more than my job at Meryn's. I work on the crisis line and help the residents here. No one calls on the weekends, it's pretty boring. I'd post the number here and tell you to call me, but I probably shouldn't be tying up the crisis line. If you do find yourself in a domestic violence situation, that's another story. And probably an interesting one.
Life is going well. On Monday I'm going to Holden Village for a week. It's a retreat center in the mountians. I'm super excited. Lately I've been on this quasi Buddist kick, so this trip will be great. It's a very simple, contemplative place apparently. And, I'm going with two of my best friends, Mike and Karen! Some of you know them. All you others should.
I'm mostly excited about starting school again. I registered for classes the other day, it went amazingly smoothly. I'm sad about leaving my friends here though. It's not a short drive to Cheney. I've gotten really attached to Joe this past year, I'll really miss him. Sigh. But, I'll make new friends. And it's not like I have to stop being friends with my old buddies, we'll just see each other less.
I thought this year at home would be so boring, but it's gone by really fast. I'm hoping for fun adventures this summer.
