I didn't mean to go this long without writing. Let's see....I got laid off the 2-3 week of January--I hope they hire me again, I really like my managers. I've got an audition for the UW school of music on March 6th, and I should be practicing more than I am for that. Today I bought satin pajamas from Target 'cause they were on sale for $5--and they didn't fit :( So I gave them to Gabe. He's been wearing them with a Santa hat all evening >.< Dad's been doing really well, very sober and going to AA meetings every week. I talked to him today, we had a good time. I made him an album on photobucket of my roomates and apartment, as he's never seen them. Tonight we tried cooking plantains we got from the food bank! Frying them worked quite well, the baking with brown sugar and butter not so much. They were still fairly firm after the baking, and I don't think they were quite ripe enough for sweet cooking. We've got a few left though, so I'm going to try and do something sweet with them when they've gone black on the outside. Since they taste like a cross between yams and bananas, Gabe has christened them Yamnanas. >.<
