Home life...

Edit:I should note that I know I have not been very active on LJ at all in quite awhile, but I still feel more comfortable posting this here than on say, FB.

So, the upheaval of the house started when I got back from being at home for Christmas. This is when I find out that Cricket (my landlord) asked Dee to marry him...and told Mary (his ex) she finally needs to get all her stuff out before Dee moves in...which turns out to be January 16th.
The first problem was that one of the things that belonged to Mary was my bed. Ergo I needed to get a new bed since the only other one available in the house would not work with the amount of stuff I store under my bed due its frame. After some Craigslist searching and pleading with friends who owned large enough vehicles to transport a mattress and boxspring, a new bed has been found :) It's a bit taller than the old one as it's a pillowtop and makes me feel like I'm high up in the air while sitting on it, but it's comfy and it's MINE and that's all that matters!
Another new rule in the house is that the bathroom in Cricket's room is now off limits as it is their bathroom. Well, that is all well and good, but that does mean that 6 people are now using the other bathroom (Me, Irish Mike, Sean & Heather and Dee's 2 daughters)...oh joy. And that's how this morning's troubles arose...
I should mention that they have been getting the house fixed up and had painted the kitchen this past weekend. I was able to get to the fridge, microwave and oven, so it didn't bother me too much. Apparently at some point last night, someone (never found out who exactly) sent Sean a text message telling him to use the rest of the paint and do the bathrooms today. Well, no one sent me a message telling me the only bathroom I'm now allowed to use is out of commission. I had an appointment at the temp agency today, I needed to take a shower. Well, he can only paint one bathroom at a time, I decided to go use Cricket's bathroom this once cause that was the only one available. I figured in this situation it was ok to use it, cause I couldn't exactly not take shower before going to my appt. The thing is, had they told me ahead of time, not the minute I'm walking out of my room to go shower, I could have made enough time to go to my gym and use the shower there...problem solved!
So, while I'm in the shower, Sean and Heather take it upon themselves to try and get ahold of Cricket to let him know, "OMG!! I'm using his shower!!! The world is going to end!!!111113333" Well, seems they could not get ahold of Cricket (cause it's very hard to when he's at work...) and instead called Dee to let her know this all so important info. As if it was any of their business in the first place! She told them to, get this, TURN OFF THE WATER while I'm still in there! And the dumbnuts downstairs actually do it. I still had stuff all over my face and conditioner in my hair at the time. Then Heather says I need to talk to Dee if I want the water back, so her phone gets handed to me and I get a "talking to" and do I understand now I'm not allowed to use the bathroom? And that if I don't like it I can just leave? Ok, fine, I won't use your fucking bathroom bitch. But the best part is that she said once we were done talking they would turn it back on and I could actually rise off, but of course that never happened. I had to rinse my hair in the fucking kitchen sink cause those asshats like left the house or some shit. I finally can get dressed and I go to make myself a sandwich before I had to leave for my appt and I see that someone unsealed my brand new gallon of raw milk to drink some. WTF people?! You told me you won't drink my milk because it's unsanitary. Now you're unsealing it and taking your fill? GAH!!!
Pissed off does even begin to describe how I felt after all this. Not welcome in my house was one thing, as well as disrespected, inconvenienced, annoyed... That someone would do something like this at all is beyond my comprehension. I can see Dee doing it were she actually here, but that those insensitive assholes would do it just because they were told to? Gee, let me tell them to go jump off a bridge, they'd be stupid enough to listen, I'm sure.
I would move out if I could, cause I don't need to deal with this shit, but I'm unemployed at the moment, I can't exactly afford to move out. If I knew anywhere else that would charge me as little rent as Cricket does, I'd be gone in a heartbeat. I'd love to live with Chris, but he's unemployed at the moment too, so that's not going to happen any time soon :(
I don't know what the future holds, but from here it's not looking very bright :( :( :(
