gah . . .
So I couldnt' help but feel slightly frustrated and angry after the orchestra concert today . . which was whoopass!! Especially Shost 10 . . . kicked ass!
Anways . . back to the point . . Why the hell can't Wind Ensemble play like that?? Just ONCE I'd like to be in an ensemble that played high level rep . . that Challenged everyone and sounded GOOD. It's not that anyone in Wind is a really bad musician . . its just that they don't care . . . and we don't have a very good leader.
I mean, its not that I want to be in Orchestra (for those of you who don't know, Saxophones very rarely play in Orchestras), cuz I know that at SOME POINT during my career, I'll get to play in an orchestra. It's just that people don't care, and the leadership is not there.
I'm sick of being told by Orchestra Wind and Brass players "I'm SO GLAD I'm not in Wind Ensemble" . . .thanx . . . it really sucks to be me doesn't it? I don't have a choice in the matter . . . so telling me that my Ensemble sucks just because you aren't in yet doesn't really sit well with me. Again . . no choice in the matter.
This frustrates me to no end. ANY other school has a decent Wind Ensemble . . but nope . . not us . . . WHY????????
