Back from vacations ^_^

Hello all! I hope you've been having a good summer!

So, Alaska was super fun...

Teasers

Soo... we spent 2 days in Vancouver, Canada before leaving on the cruise. We got to stay in a really nice hotel with the best beds ever...

We stayed in the left tower. I seriously love Vancouver. I want to go back. I wanted to go and visit UBC (University of Brittish Columbia) to check it out (as a possible transfer school ^_^) but there wasn't enough time -_- We visited the aquarium and took a double-decker bus through Stanley Park. Not enough words describe my new love of Vancouver ^_^

Sooo... We left from Vancouver for Alaska on the Infinity... Yay Celebrity Cruises! The first full day we were at sea, which was alright, because it was a good time to relax... Lots of shopping on the cruise.... I got to hear a naturalist talk about Alaska and give random facts (like Alaskans eat the most ice cream per capita than any other state). The next day was Sitka, Alaska...

While my parents went on a salmon hatchery tour, I went on a nice hike through the Tongass National Forrest.

The next day was at the Hubbard glacier, which was really cool to see. I took a whole bunch of pictures, but I have to photoshop them because they're panoramas and my compy can't handle the size ;^_^ So they'll come later.

Sooo... The next day was Juneau, the capital of Alaska. I went on a 6 mile hike there ^_^

After the 4 hour hike, I ate lunch back on the ship then took the Mt. Roberts to the top of the mountain where I took a short little walk and enjoyed the scenery.

Did bit of shopping in town (where I bought a really nice gold quartz pendant ^_^). The next day was Ketchikan, another big shopping city. Took another hike, but this time my parents came with me and we had to take a boat to the island where the trail was.

The boat...

Truthfully, the hike was a bit boring, considering that it was the third time that week I had hiked through the Tongass and everything was pretty much the same as the first two hikes. The boat ride was fun. Then another day at sea, and back to Vancouver where we flew home from.

Then two days at home before I went on a camping trip with some of my extended family.

We stayed at San Simeon State Park about 30 miles north of San Luis Obispo. Saw my great-aunt and uncle, and some second and third cousins that I haven't seen in years (because they live near Sacramento). We went to Hearst Castle one day...

The coolest thing there was the outside pool... The other days were just hanging out at the beach and relaxing in general. 'Twas quite fun even though it lacked hiking ^_^

And now I am finaly home ^_^

And now summer is coming to a close -_- School will be starting again and then homework will come... Ugh.

Anyways, leave me a comment and let me know how you are ^_^
