Tis been a bit, shall post again. Back in the swing of things. Well, as much as I can be. I REALLY want these next two years to be over with so I can be done with school. Anyway, let's see, may as well split this up all neat-like.
Band:
Marching band has been tough. Our show is eleven and a half minutes long (!), and we started learning the second show last week. Chris White (the director) said when we play at the MBDA show for all the highschools, he wants to do the first show plus two of the songs fom the second show. That's 20 minutes non-stop of marching and playing. Oi. That's gonna hurt after we're done. It's fun, though. Marching band is always a good time, especially when the drum major askes me to hold on to his bag of popcorn and I end up eating half of it... what? Haha, sorry Bob. Pep band starts Thursday, more playing goodness, and I get to use my good sax again! Yay!
School:
I'm taking Differential Equations, Intro to Structural Analysis, Hydrolics, and Statistics for Engineers, along with the two bands. I have two tests on Friday, Stats and Structures. Structures I'm not worried about, I usually end up teaching the homework to the group I do it with. Same goes for the labs. Stats should be all right, we're doing mostly graphs and best fit lines and deviations and stuff, most of which I have done before. Diff EQ's I'm worried about, because math was never my strong point. I mean, you can't SEE it! Structures is easy because I see how all the forces act and affect beams and frames and stuff, I can visualize all of it. In Calc, nothing is intuitive. It's all "Here, take these variables and numbers and make them do something". I don't work like that, and it hurts me. Well, it's my last math class, so I just have to get through it, haha.
Social:
*crickets chirp*
No, seriously, I do absolutely nothing, and I'll admit it kinda sucks. I started going to Swing Dance with Stacey again, but if I'm not in class or band I'm in my room. Stupid fear of meeting new people. "Go to a party or two", you say. Yeah, great. Get trashed and make a fool of myself and have a headache the next day. Thanks, but I enjoy my state of mind the way it is (scary, huh?), and don't understand the allure of ruining your perception and motor control. Woo.
Chris and his friend want to come up this weekend to visit the school, gotta work that around a football game and Hydro homework. Meh, I'll be home Oct 6th.
