hooray for rain
so yeah, it's been a while.
seb and i were supposed to walk tonight. when i stepped out, there were a few drops of rain, but nothing i couldn't handle. then, after i got halfway down the street, it started to pour. as if on cue, seb called and said, "let's walk another time, it's pouring out." i said ok and bid him goodnight, then stood in the street for a few minutes before thinking, "what the hell - i'm already soaked." i love the smell of rain, especially in august. i love the air of anticipation that accompanies a late summer downpour. and there's something about a walk in the rain that lends itself to reflection and self-discovery.
i'd also like to say that i want to marry jon stewart. the daily show is the only program worth watching on tv. isn't it ironic that the best television news program available is on the comedy channel? i'm addicted. bill clinton is going to be the guest on monday night, so WATCH IT.
