Barf-a-rama
It has started. The count down to Singles Awareness Day with all these cute straight couples sitting in bed feeding each other chocolates. Am I the only one who wants to smother them with the pillows they are sitting on? It does not end there, why do we need a day that reminds us who lonely we are because we have not found "The One"? Why is this day so important? If we are lucky enough to find "The One" shouldn't we be treating him/her with love and respect everyday not just on a holiday, because some greeting card company says we ought to? I would love nothing more than to abolish Valentines day like we abolished slavery so may years ago, because that is what it is to single people, slavery to the notion that because we do not have some one we are less than complete.
