What a weekend from Hell!
I was all excited getting a four day weekend....
The woes started on Friday. Went to the doctor to have that yearly female junk done. Enough said. Still had problems not being able to get on Internet. Discovered problem on Thursday night, but thought server was having some issues and didn't panic. Friday I was irritated, but wasn't home much, so I was going to wait until Saturday to get it solved.
Get up Saturday morning, and my father was washing my car for me. He likes doing that, I don't, so why not make him and me happy at the same time? Anyway, he tells me he found some paint missing on my newly purchased car (only had it going on three months). It had to have happened on Friday while I was out shopping with my Mom...or on Friday night when I went over to my brother's house to watch a movie. Thankfully no dents. My brother can give it a quick paint fix till I can afford to get it done professionally.
Since there was nothing I could do about the car at the moment, I tackled the Internet issue first. Turns out the server wasn't the problem, my computer was.
Called my computer's tech support and got a foreign speaking guy. Very nice, but hard to understand and hear sometimes. My computer was full of bad viruses, and McAfee was adding to the problem. Six hours was spent fixing my computer, not to mention some of my money. He took off my upgrade to Explorer 8, saying my computer was too old to use it. Had to upload it back up again today to even be able to get on this site! I got error messages on several sites that said anyone who didn't upgrade wasn't going to be able to access these sites anymore.
Sigh.
Sunday was spent being frustrated. I was able to think more about my car and then not being able to get on sites because my Explorer 7 was being phased out because it was outdated.
Good thing I didn't have to work today! Will be back to work tomorrow. Then I'll have the fun task of uploading Norton onto my computer...whee!
