"To Change"
Summary: One of Asa's first visions, and how she kept it from coming true.
Warnings: None, unless you find tiny derpy toddler cuteness to be something worth a warning...
People in stories and movies had their dreams come true, and Asa knew it could happen (she was two and a half, she knew lots of things!,) but she didn't want this dream coming true. It was a dream she'd had when she was taking a nap. In her dream, nobody knew that she cared about them. Even though she kept yelling at her big grown-up self to stop being a dummy, her big grown-up self still wouldn't say that she cared about anyone, even though she did.
It was a sad and lonely dream. Asa didn't like it at all, and she didn't want it to come true. She didn't know how to make sure it didn't come true though, so she just stumbled and crawled her way around for a while, away from the dream. It was kind of amazing how the adults were able to get through such a big house so quickly, but then again they were a lot bigger than her.
Eventually she stumbled her way into the living room. Mom and Dad were out of the house, she knew that, and that "school" thing wasn't happening, so that meant -- Naoya! Naoya was in the room.
It was kind of odd, though. He didn't look too happy. ... Actually, Naoya didn't look happy a lot of the time, when he thought nobody could see it. He was kind of silly that way, thinking nobody knew he was sad. But...he was still sad; thinking about it didn't change it.
He looked like he needed a hug, really.
... Oh! That was how she could change things, she thought. If she didn't want a dream where nobody knew she cared to come true, then all she had to do was... She stumbled her way closer and waited until Naoya saw she was there.
It was kind of weird for a second - she didn't know what to say, the grownups were a lot better at talking! ... But she stood up, clumsily, and held her arms out, because even though talking and stuff was still weird, this had to be done.
"Nao-nii...hug?"
