Long time no see

Can't believe it's been what, two years since I was last on here. Definitely think I need to get back into the swing of things, so i'm going to start trying to write little reviews of the shows i'm watching, and if I get time I might even try making icons again, although considering the last time I made one was around the last time I posted I might be a bit rusty lol.
I'll start with what I watched last night: CSI season 11, episode 19: Unleashed
Overall not a bad episode. Did find it very odd that neither Catherine or Greg were in it, I've noticed it's something they've done quite a lot recently, not having all cast members in an episode, but a lot of the time I only notice afterwards, this time it was obvious from fairly on, probably because with two missing there weren't really very many cast members in it!
Didn't like the story about Nick and Doc Robbins saving the baby from the dead teenager, it seemed over the top and I know the CSIs managed to find themselves in the middle of crimes a lot but being waved down by a stranger on the road they happened to be driving down together and managing to be on time to save the baby was a bit of a stretch, not to mention the awful switch between the doll and the real baby. The rest of that half of the episode was alright though.
Sara and Langston's crime was interesting, although CSI does seem to like showing 'strange' behaviour quite often without ever really getting into it which is a shame. The show also seems to be focusing on Sara and Grissom a lot this season, more so than when he was on the show. Now I always shipped them but it's not the same without him there, and i'm all for the odd shout-out but wouldn't it be better for them to focus on the characters that are still on the show. Or was part of getting Sara back on the show full time that she had to be a significant character. Almost makes me miss the early seasons when we learnt about the characters through the crimes, rather than the characters being involved in the crimes/knowing people that are.
