6 artists, 3 big bangs (one vid), 4 art pieces (Gen, Sam/Dean, Jared/Jensen)

There's been a a flurry of activity from Korea/China recently, I thought I'd rec some of the one's I've really liked:
xxxxxx_6x (J2, Sam/Dean)
Take the stereotypes we have of Sam and Dean (or Jared and Jensen), make them mini-size, and then throw in the most adorably innocent slash you can think of - and that's when you have 6x's work. I just want to grab it with both hands and squish it. Even though some of it is in chinese, it's so universal you'll get the meaning straightaway. This post especially never fails to put a smile on my face (overprotective!Sam kills me dead)!
(Artist is also known as wuyemantou on dA but prefers to keep her slash separate in her LJ - PLEASE RESPECT THAT. (Her gen gallery is definitely well worth checking out, she does the most gorgeous paintings!)
mooooong (Gen, Sam/Dean)
The artist can range from adorable gen, to the sweetest wincest, to the HOT. She hits all my buttons in all her art. *strokes her screen*
seymourspn (Sam/Dean)
NOSEBLEED. I could roll in these all day! The intense staring, the soft pastel colours, the falling asleep, the brushwork UNF. If you haven't already heard of her from everyone, HERE, have her spn art tag.
And now for the other artists:
o_tsuki_o (Gen, J2)
Not only is she a great artist in the traditional sense, she also does really amazing paintover manipulations. Clean and smooth looking, changing an image completely to give it meaning and atmosphere (I know, I can't get enough of the sweet stuff!). Even if you don't like paintovers, I strongly urge you to check out 'Watch Over You'. Gah, look at the emotion in it, the delicacy of all the details.

Been getting to know this artist recently and what I love about her is the different multimedia approaches she uses, both traditional and digital, challenging perspective and genre. I really loved the paintover she created, the way it should be done - taking stock images and making an entirely new action scene. Though, my favourite has to be Dean and his rabbit, omg adorable! Spn fanart tag.

Big Bangs
I've only read a few big bangs for this year and only looked at a few more artworks than that! These are the ones that stuck in my head.
griseldajane's cover art for Dreams of War and Liars (mild Sam/Dean)
I adore the colouring in her cover art, wild and complimentary (my favourite kind). The messy line art and brushwork go wonderfully well together. And let's not forget the smushy way Sam and Dean are looking at each other <3!
nebst's art to 'Dead Soldiers' (Gen)
There is something about the cold, desaturated style - I can't stop staring at it. It's so minimal and bare that it packs a huge punch when it comes to the Winchesters. Everything stripped away except the pain Dean's going through. Can't recommend it enough.
proofpudding's trailer for 'The Lady Killers' (Sam/Dean, Sam/Others, Dean/Others)
Vidder warns for 'Disturbing imagery - Nothing you haven't already seen on the show, only here taken wildly out of context' and that's the amazing thing about, it's a completely dark twisted version of Sam and Dean and it really works. Her choice of music and editing is excellent! (Please read the full warnings and synopsis in case of triggers)

Seriously amazing paintover. The soft lighting and gorgeous colours are wonderful. A simple subject but just really well executed. I should have recced this ages ago, please do check it out!
_izu_'s So Close (Sam/Dean)
Sweet Jesus. Look at the trailing hands. DO WANT. It's her first wincest too!
animotus's Art to 'And what is there to conquer' (Gen)
Animotus's graphics style is so distinctive, always gloriously coloured and composed. This one specifically I have been meaning to rec, it's the use of minimal imagery combined with sharp screencaps and that surreal twilight pink that really makes it work for me. Seriously, the preview does not do it justice, do go check it out.
firebolide's 'Kiss Time' (Jared/Jensen) and 'Lucifer Rising' (Gen) by
The first is a response to that almost-kiss on the red carpet ;). Love love the lighting! And I will never get over her representation of evil!Sam, I kinda wanna stare into his frowny face all day. Oh yeah.
