Do you like to pick out a special calender for the new year? I do. When the X-Files was on, I got an Xfiles calendar every year. So it's getting to that time of year where I start to pick one out. For a few years, I just took my pick of the half price ones after Christmas and New Years. Last year I actually ordered a nice one, the Night Magic one by Jessica Galbreth. This year my first thought was Doctor Who but when I first looked none of the Amazons I checked had one. So I looked along the lines at last year, and started checking the fantasy artists' sites, and found one by Nene Thomas that's pretty nice. But I wasn't sure. Sunday I went to look at the dvds in my wishlist at Amazon UK (I'm a wishlist addict) and on a whim checked the calendars, and they had the Doctor Who one *BigGeekyGrin*! If you hadn't noticed I'm on a DW geek out spree (thanks jadekirk =p)

Not much to report. I think we're hitting a pre holiday lull for work. Sent in what I had done today, and only have one which I have to wait for the contact to make an appointment for me with the DWP. And he didn't know when that could be, he was just going to try to get it asap for me.

I'm a bit of a geek and gamer, but anyone who'll spend $400 or more for system, is bloody mad. If you don't know what I'm talking about, Playstation 3 releases this weekend, and the starter version is pricing at $499 US, and a larger hard drive one at $599. Nintendo Wii also comes out this weekend, but it's only starting at $250 (traditional Nintendo start price). My advice, if you don't have to be at a store selling video game systems this weekend (by weekend I mean starting Thursday, since if they aren't already the greedy buggers and uber geeks will be in line by Thursday for PSP), don't go near those stores.

eta: forgot before, its official: NBC Orders full seasons of Studio 60

geeky, technology, doctor who
