nano users on crack
Ok this came through the BBC news feed I get in my inbox.
Apple faces iPod Nano litigation
People are actually trying to sue apple because they think their nano's scratched and the screen cracked too easily.
*insert gi-normous eye roll*
I have to give my two cents.
1. It's OBVIOUS these people didn't research in user groups about the ipods before buying. Otherwise they would have known that If you get an ipod, any ipod, and take it around and use it, It WILL get scratched. It's not if, it's when. The first day I took mine to work, by the end of the day, it was scratched. Sure it doesn't look the nicest, but it's cosmetic, it has no effect on the operation of the Ipod. You don't see me running out to start a half assed frivolous lawsuit. I'll post a picture of mine when I can be bothered to take one and upload it.
2. Any idiot could have told them that a car with dark paint will show scratches more, and the white and lights not so much. Same rule applies to Ipods.
3. WTF are people doing to these things that cracks the screen?!? Even if there was a flaw in design that makes them weaker, you still have to do something to it to crack it.
It's not that I'm a huge fan of Apple. I refuse to get their computers since it would mean repurchasing all of my software. I just hate frivolous lawsuits, and this to me smacks of one.
