Announcement!
So... I am about to head to Philly to visit Jenny. But I have an announcement, first.
Our family just got a little bigger.
Last month, I was at PetSmart by myself while Rebecca was working. I started talking to one of the employees about Toby and Wilson and she decided to show me two little tiny baby hairless rats they had there. She called them Oswald and Oswald 2. The Oswalds absolutely charmed me. One of them has standard ears and one is a dumbo. The standard-eared one is frisky and curious and likes to nibble fingers. The dumbo is shy and snuggly.
She said that they were very attached to each other, and hoped they would find a home together. I said I would take them. Rebecca and I have been talking about getting a third rat for a while now, but they seem to come in pairs. Without Rebecca's knowledge, I took them to my parents' house for quarantine. I brought them home today and introduced them to my other boys. I was afraid it would go badly because Wilson and Tobes have been alone together for so long. But they were instantly in love. The only time I have seen them more happy is when they were reunited after Toby broke his leg. They licked the heck out of the little guys.
They are all like, "We is DADDIES now?!?! OMG BOGGLE BOGGLE!"
Oswald has kept his name. Oswald 2 (the dumbo) has been renamed Ernest. Because seriously, would you want to be named Oswald 2?
I brought them along in a carrier when I picked Rebecca up from work. It was so much fun to surprise her.
