Awww! Oh man they're adorable. I miss squishies so much. They're such handsome little guys. Are they both berks?

Yes, they are! I can tell the difference between them because Wilson is skinnier. And Toby is more... potato-shaped. They're still very hyper and a little bit high-strung but I'm hoping they get squishier as they settle down.

I've been thinking about maybe getting mice or rats again, but I'm not sure about the apartment policy.

They are definitely not allowed in my apartment, but there's no way anyone will know they are here. We've never had maintenance in the bedroom for anything (which is where we keep the little guys) and building inspection is only once a year. They go into randomly-selected apartments; I don't think they came into ours last time. And they always give several days' notice. I could conveniently stash the rats somewhere else when the time comes again. Also (unlike if we were to bring home another cat), the rats don't get in the shutters. No one is any wiser to their presence.

I highly suggest rats over mice. Mice are stinky and likely to be pregnant.
