Holy donkey. The last time I was on here was the day before my birthday. A lot, and I mean A LOT has happened since then.
On my birthday everything went perfect. Just like I had said before. On July 3rd, we had a birthday party for me. All of my family (and Erika) came over, and my uncle got to see my car, to which he was pleased at. Both my great grandma's were over and it was nice seeing them, since I don't get to see them as much as I'd like.
We had the most and best food I have ever had. We had ribs, hot dogs, hamburgers, homemade potato salad and cole slaw from my grandma, I made devil eggs and snicker doodle salad, my great grandma had brought over her orange fluff and her amazing homemade veggie dip. Needless to say there were A LOT more than that, but I can't remember - hey it was a while ago.
While we were getting everything ready, my mom got a call from someone we had called earlier about some puppies and he said we could come over tomorrow and pick one out. So on the fourth, I had gotten up at 7 am, took a shower and picked out some nice clothes and was ready by 8 am to go look at the dogs. But instead I had to wait three to four more hours for my mom to even think about going to look at them.
At noon we had called the guy back and we left to go see the dogs. When we got to the farm, the guy and his son greeted us by the barn and let us in to see the puppies. They were soo cute! There were 7 out of 9 left; 3 females and 4 males. That's when the guy told us they were Border Collie/Fox Terrier mix puppies.
Right away the mother attached herself to me and wouldn't let me go anywhere without petting her, it was cute. I had originally picked out a puppy that was calm and had a lot more brown on her than the one I have now. But then the puppy I got came out from underneath a baby cow and I just fell in love with her. I knew she was the puppy I wanted and needed (well besides this male I saw who had more of the collie traits, and he was sooo fluffy!).
I named her Bailey immediately, and then took her to Petco and got her a pink color, some puppy food, a leash and some other stuff. We got stopped so many times by people wanting to pet her and whatnot. It was cute.
When we got home I had to give her a bath, because we knew she had fleas from living in a barn with cows. I spent time with her until she fell asleep and then as much as I didn't want to, I had to go to my uncles house for fireworks and "family bonding."
Now, this Monday my drivers ed ended and then Tuesday we had our final drive. I'm so happy it's ended however I'm sad too, surprisingly. I ended up with an A- with driving and a B+ with the class part of it, which is ironic to me.
And now my best friend and I are trying to figure out when I should go down to her place for a week and a half. But I really don't want to be gone that long, within the first five minutes Bailey has attached herself to me and I can't seem to leave her for a long time without worrying about her, or thinking about her. It's like she's my baby, which technically she is. And she likes waking me up at 4 o'clock in the morning to let her outside.
Here's a picture of Bailey.
