Lex and I took a walk with Bean to a grassy spot nearby that's good for chucking, but not an official park. He enjoyed a bunch of good chucks then started limping. I checked his paw and there was a thorn in it. Ok, no problem, I could just pull it out, this happens to dogs all the time, right? So I pulled a bit and about 1/8 inch came out and he yelped and it was still firmly in there. Ben is really tough so I was worried.. I gritted my teeth and pulled again and a thorn about 1 1/4 inches long that would be a 12 gauge, easy, if it were for piercing, came out of his paw.
He limped for about 2 seconds and then ran all the way home.
