Don't ever stop learning, because once you stop, you might as well be dead.

So I just sent out a plea for someone to go with me to EyeCon on my MySpace. Hopefully one of my friends will be able to. I wanted to try for the upcoming Ten Inch Hero screening in Gainesville, FL, but when I saw it was gonna be at EyeCon with Steve, I figured that would be more appropriate to strive for. Because I have this insane need to see Steve performing live, especially since I missed out on my chance to see him in Nashville. And hey, bonus Jared! I would love to see him in person as well, especially after reading so many amazing fan encounters.

Anyway, there's a rare bout of hopeful optimism from a resident pessimist.

Oh, and I got myself a digital camera! I've been needing one, especially since my video camera doesn't take good stills, surprise surprise. It's pretty and shiny and a 7 megapixel, 10x optical zoom Fuji.

See, lookit:

Also, I've been working on some graphics stuff, as well as reading lots of random tutorials and whatnot because I've been in a graphic-y mood for the past week or so. And I just have to say that StumbleUpon is an amazing invention. So much amazing randomosity that leads to so many very useful sites and awesome inspiration. I suggest you check it out.

This is what I've made recently.

This is a business card I designed for a friend of my mom's. His business cards were old and kinda ugly, so he told me to do whatever.

I decided to play around a little more and do a vertical version. I also plan to do one with a textured background instead of white. Not sure how that'll work out yet.

This is redesign #1 for my mom's salsa recipe.

And this is redesign #2, which I think I kinda like better, but I dunno.

I also have two as of yet unfinished projects for a friend that will be finished soon once I get a few extra elements. I have a project of my own that's been waiting to be completed for a few weeks now that I hope to get to soon, and lots of ideas for more. Wow, my graphics projects are starting to sound like my knitting/crocheting projects...
In addition, there's a silly little manip of Jensen that I have completed, and may put up soon, if I don't get around to the Jared companion.

And finally:

I got my hair cut and colored, darker with some red streaks, even though they're kinda hard to see in the pic. They're dark enough that it's almost like having my purple streaks again, which I can't get because of work. But I love the way it looks!

The End.
