I like how I have completely no control when it comes to spending money on books. Anything else- clothes, shoes, alcohol- I can limit myself, but when I walk into a bookstore... it's bad.
I went to Borders today to see if they carried "Bob Roberts" on dvd, and ended up spending seventy bucks on books. Whoops. I'm really happy with them though. I got Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, the Breakfast Champions by Kurt Vonnegut, Sex, Drugs, and Coco Puffs by... that guy whose name I can't remember, then a book of Italian poetry and a book of Italian short stories (in Italian). It was all I could do to put Harold Blooms "Literary Criticism of the Western Canon" back on the shelf. I think I'll ask for it for Christmas.
Bwahaha. I'm on my way towards completing my goal of amassing the world's largest private library.
In other news, Ken's jungle juice party was quite the success. I hadn't been that drunk in a long time. It was nice because it was pretty big, but I knew most of the people. I was also introduced to the wonderfulness of apple pie shooters.
Unfortunately, one of the worst hangovers of my life followed. But oh well, occasionally they're worth it, and this was one of them.
